H.E.A.R.T. ANIMAL RESCUE
Our Mission:

H.E.A.R.T is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for homeless pets in our communities through helping with adoptions from shelters, community awareness, and when able, fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found. Our organization is run by individuals who generously volunteer their time, homes and hearts in order to help.

It is our belief that with some temporary assistance, many animals can remain in their current homes instead of being admitted to animal shelters. Whenever possible, emergency placement, food and medical services for pets is available to approved responsible low-income families, senior citizens on fixed incomes and families that are dealing with illnesses where resources are limited.

We believe in providing a low cost spay/neuter program for the purpose of reducing unwanted births and unfortunate deaths of animal offspring. Whenever possible, financial assistance is provided to responsible pet owners who wish to spay or neuter their pets but cannot afford to do so.

We wish to educate the public on the correct and moral way to care for their animals, including the importance of spaying and neutering pets to help stop the flow of abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in our community.

We will exchange information and work with other humane organizations to help locate lost pets and rescue abandoned and abused animals.

Timber  -- A Diamond in the Rough

Picture
Timber is a 2-year-old Catahoula/Bull Terrier mix
who has been with us since December. He was pulled from a kill shelter where he
was absolutely terrified and completely unable to cope with the
unpredictable and frightening environment. He was what some people would have considered
"a lost cause" but with a little bit of patience and a whole lot of love from our
wonderful fosters he has quickly become the poster pup for why we do what we do.
After two years of seeing nothing but pain and anguish he has gone from
literally trembling at human touch to tentatively giving kisses to strangers in
just 12 short weeks. He is amazingly sweet and it is such a gift to see the
hopefulness and trust in his eyes when he approaches you for love. He will
always carry the emotional scars of his journey with him and will still need a
patient adoptive family who will continue to show him that humans can be
trusted, but he's reached a point where he's ready for that perfect forever
home. He's ready to close that first chapter to his life and start a new, happy
one that begins with finding a family to call his own. Timber has such a story
and we need YOU to help him (and us!) tell it. If you can't adopt him,*PLEASE
SHARE* this picture - you never know who might see him and fall in love. Anyone
interested in adopting him should send us an email at heartanimalrescue@yahoo.com or contact us via Facebook.
Let's find Timber the loving home he has always deserved!
